Discover the town of grendelbruch  The history of Grendelbruch is closely related to the castle of Guirbaden, feudal fortress dating from the 11th century located at 3 km from the village. Destroyed at the 17th century, there still remains the four walls of the main building and the keep. From these ruins, one discovers a splendid sight on the surrounding forests, the plain of Alsace and the valley of Bruche. Since far, Grendelbruch lives in perfect symbiosis with its forests. From these centuries of perfect union, remained a long forest tradition, which the gestures of the bucheronnage astonish by their immutable precision.

Discover the sauer valley  December 29, 1995 marked the birth of the built-up community of the Sauer Valley, extreme north of the Alsace region, about 50 km North-West of Strasbourg; the Valley is on the German border (area of Palatinat) and extends over a 20 km length with an average width from 10 km. The Sauer Valley belongs to the regional Natural Park of the North Vosges.
